Golden Ears, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and Mission Hiking Trails
Hiking Regions > Golden EarsWelcome to the Golden Ears, Maple Ridge and Mission region of the Lower Mainland. This area runs east along the Fraser River from Pitt Lake, Alouette Lake and finally to Stave Lake encompassing nearly 200 square kilometers of backcountry.
A handful of notable peaks are found in this region including Golden Ears, Edge Peak, Blanshard Peak, Mount Crickmer and Mount Robie Reid -- once nicknamed "Old Baldy"
Unlike the North Shore, many of these trails are less traveled during the winter months and often Golden Ears Provincial Park could be closed due to heavy winter conditions.
