Trail Map

The Deek's Lake trail offers a good variety of terrain and intensity with views of the Sea-to-Sky and Howe Sound. The first third of the trail is of relatively low incline then immediately turns into short and steep switchbacks on soil and roots. Once you arrive at Deek's Lake, make sure to follow the trail down to the mouth of the creek.

The original trailhead has moved to a parking lot on the east side of Highway 99 less than 500 meters into the Porteau Cove exit. Plenty of parking is available.

Due to the new trailhead, the full trail to Deek's Lake is an additional 2 km along a logging gravel road.

About 10 minutes into the trail, you will reach an open gravel area that splits off into two trails. Stick to the right to stay on to Deek's Lake.

Hey everyone, would definitely recommend this trail.. Hard to find the opening but totally worth it... great view points (added pics), no man made steps of any kind and really fun to hike. I wouldn't say it is dog friendly due to the steep hike in the beginning. Have fun hiking :)

To go against the dominant thinking of your friends, of most of the people you see every day, is perhaps the most difficult act of heroism you can perform. -- Theodore H. White
