Starting at the Grouse Mountain parking lot, this portion of the Baden Powell trail traverses heads south down Capilano Road to the Cleveland Park park before cutting west, across the Cleveland Dam through a neighborhood corridor. Beyond the corridor, the trail heads north up the southeast face of Hollyburn Mountain mostly parallel to Cypress Bowl road and eventually passing by Hollyburn Lodge. At Cypress Bowl, the trail heads up Black Mountain, crosses Eagle Bluff before scaling down the west side of the mountain. Bathrooms are available at Grouse Mountain and at the Black Mountain lodge at the end of the Cypress Mountain parking lot.
